Tribe Wanted day 2

Page history last edited by rsb 13 years ago

We gave uke lessons, picked up trash, worked on the tree house, and that's about it.  Other than that we just enjoyed the hospitality of the village and the vacation spot staff.

There is a lagoon across a sandbar from the beach, that has geothermal vents at the bottom.  You can basically float around, or pick the temperature you want to be based on which vent you stop over.  Beautiful beach and sky one direction, jungle mountains going off into the distance in the other.  From the lagoon I took the dugout canoe out up the river.  I was told there were places to land and see monkeys, but after an hour I got lost and stuck on some red rocks and marshy stuff.  Knowing there were probably crocs and snakes and stuff, I decided not to get out of the canoe in the middle of the muck, and paddled back.  But paddling on that river was very peaceful.
